Description
Radiation exposure is a significant concern for spine surgeons, especially scoliosis specialists. This has become more relevant given the advances in minimally invasive spine surgery techniques, many of which have relied heavily on fluoroscopy. This webinar discusses current strategies for decreasing radiation exposure to spine surgeons, their operative team, and our patients, while also exploring future directions in radiation reduction.
This webinar is supported, in part, by a grant from DePuy Synthes.
Learning Objectives:
- Effectively counsel patients and staff on the risks of radiation exposure
- Choose the most appropriate radiation reduction techniques for your practice
- Differentiate the magnitude of radiation from fluoroscopy versus X-Ray versus Computed Tomography (CT) and know risks and benefits of each modality
