Learning Objectives:

1. Appropriately work up a patient with a new lesion found in the spine.
2. Recognize and address spinal deformity as part of both indications and treatment for patients with spinal tumors.
3. Discuss the NOMS algorithm and SINS system as they apply to patients with metastatic disease of the spine.
4. Identify common errors made in working up patients with primary tumors of the spine.
